Introduction

As our team failed in the first attempt, we were too worried about the rest, When I started resitting individually, I was anxious about how to accomplish the coursework within the period. Primary, I have changed my chosen topics to 'Motivation and Performance,' and 'Recruitment and Selection.' Eventually, I made the time frame for every step. Moreover, I put more effort into collecting all academic texts from the library and online sources than when I was included in the group. Furthermore, I could follow proper time management and more focus on it. Yes, that helps me to submit the coursework on time.

Teamwork

In every Teamwork, the members are the key factor to completing the teamwork successfully. As a result, the performance of each team member is liable for the success or failure of the cooperation. The term ‘teamwork’ means the team's cooperative effort to accomplish a common goal by completing the tasks in an effective way (West 2018). The term 'people management 'is a significant part of teamwork. Last time, the assignment 'managing people in the organization' was assigned to us into a team to evaluate our knowledge, skills, and understanding of the subject matter after completing this module.

What Went Wrong:

In my previous team, there were a total of three members, including me. The effective use of technology helps to enhance the operations and actions within the group (J. Mullins, 2013). First of all, we discussed our topic with the team and made a group chat on WhatsApp to establish communication with each other more effectively. The differences in the demographic issues of the team members imposed negative results on the communication process of the team. In this case; this ultimately creates difficulties in achieving team collaboration by increasing conflict in the group. The members of the team from India. The foreign education method caused some confusion and each member has a language problem. Moreover, the experience and skills are almost the same so, these factors are challenges for us to maintain teamwork effectively. We had faced failure in idea generation and implementation. On the other hand, team members can choose their favorite topic without any mutual consent which makes other members feel annoyed. Because of this in same points, we thought of breaking our team.

Lack of leadership:

In our group, no one was willing to act as a leader or co-ordinator (Laurie 2013) within the group, and creative leadership skills helped to accomplish the shared objectives. Besides that, the group faced consistency of direction and a lack of clarity about the team goals; sometimes, I took the initiative to coordinate the team members for a group meeting. Unfortunately, we could not meet up even a single time.

Lack of communication and Responsibilities. The failure to share the data and irresponsible behaviors affected the quality of work. After submitting the CW, we understood the errors. Sometimes our group behaves as an informal group: Giving more importance to relationships rather than objectives (Mullins, 2013) Sometimes friendship creates more freedom between the members leading to the failure of teamwork.

On the other hand, because of team members, different thoughts, and attitudes made me annoyed sometimes. However,' I had to accept others' viewpoints as a team member to work in a team. Success doesn’t mean working with talented members it only depends on the genuine contribution, and responsibility to the team. so they are able to solve their own conflicts (Stuart, 1998). The group had failed to observe and communicate with other groups. It’s made members inactive and sometimes forget the task as well. In the past team, the strength of a male was more like a female they couldn't obey my visions and opinions. Moreover, the members of the team had to team potency: The members did not believe their team's ability to succeed in their goal in the particular platform (Bandura et all, 1995).In the group, sometimes members raised questions like how we can do it. Who will do? Can we or not? Those feelings de-motivated their performance. The absence of timely feedback and evaluation of data in a team made us unable to submit the draft copy of the work and couldn't take any guidelines from the course director. Above all had to face failure in our teamwork.

What Worked Well

The previous team had worked well in some ways. The size of the group was ideal, with only three members. It is easy to handle and supervise. The members of the team are from the same country so we can communicate through our mother tongue. Moreover, the team members were very busy but in the last week of the deadline, they worked very hard. By compromising with each other, we were able to resolve the topic of choosing conflict and helped team members with their selected topics. It enabled us to finish our work together and support each other. We had tried to resolve our time -management through the virtual meeting on WhatsApp. Also, other team members tried to convince us to focus on the right things instead of focusing on the bad ones.

Furthermore, one of the team members assured us about the time of work. These things helped each of the team members of our team to improve different skills in teamwork. it was very important that my other team members and I studied the Powerline case study very attentively and finally applied different theories that related to this case study During this module working as a team increased my knowledge and skills through the application of methods into Powerline case and analyzing the situations of the case study. Most importantly, the use of employee motivation and performance management theory has increased my knowledge and understanding of how to manage people in the workplace. Now I am confident that I can deal with people management, their issues, and conflicts in the workplace. Apart from this, working individually helps to improve self-confidence and increase the knowledge scale.

Recommendations

Teamwork is an essential factor in conducting any task or work. It may result in a good outcome when the team operates properly It may result in a lousy outcome when the group operates in an ineffective way. A number of recommendations are given for building a capable team.

Set a clear goal within the team: It is essential to set clear goals within the group where the team members know about the task clearly and what they are doing in this, setting clear goals for the team in a specific time duration will support the team members to evaluate the team performance on a regular basis (Naylor, 2004)

Should conduct process analysis session: The team should attend the session of analyzing the member's performance and if anyone is in the wrong way others should guide the team on the proper track.

Solve the conflict: In every teamwork, disputes must be crested. Bright and excellent communication is essential to handle this situation. The unique and clear connection between the team members should help to resolve the disputes easily and quickly in our team to complete the task from time to time. However, in the future, we should apply the Dual concern model theory to solve this confit. I will focus on my task as well and if I face any difficulty then I consult my other team members for help. If they are not capable of differently ask the other team or the course director. On the other hand, not only focus on me give more importance to teamwork. For next time try to find the conflicts and make better solutions accurately.

Equally, divide the workload within the team: In teamwork, each of the team members is responsible for working similarly. The unequal division of the workload within the teamwork may create conflict among the team members. An equal workload within the team can decrease the burdens on a team member ( Gary Rees and Ray French, 2016)

Make communication regular: One critical reason for the conflict in an organization is irregular communication among the members. Group discussion in teamwork is a very significant factor. If a team's members communicate regularly with each other and keep the work progressing of each other, then a good relationship is created between the team members without proper and regular communication can generate conflict among the members (Levi, 2016)

Empower the team members: In teamwork, it is essential to empower each of the team members. Providing a sense of involvement in problem-solving and decision-making processes in teamwork can enhance the excellent connection among the team members with each other (Mullins, 2013) Each team should give opportunities to the group members equally it makes everyone responsible.

In conclusion, the principal teamwork goal is to complete the task from time to time. Our previous team tried their best to complete the assignment on time by managing the conflicts and other negative impacts. However, we will resolve our disputes and focus on the proper team in the future. In the future, we all make an excellent contribution to completing tasks successfully that are given to us. I believe that good teamwork will bring success for me in the future.
