Academics:

The course I opted for while studying in Arizona was incredibly challenging for me. The professors guided me a lot and since they disregarded memorizing and favored a practical way of teaching, it helped me understand different aspects of my coursework.

In the BA program in business with a concentration in business administration, I gained a breadth of knowledge and the skills needed for managing business operations.

The program provided the full business core plus a concentration with 18 hours of coursework focused on skills such as forecasting demand, planning inventory, purchasing services, conducting skillful negotiations, building strategies for the future, and managing people, finances, and risk.

Experience:

I have always lived with my family ever since I joined ASU. I had a very cocooned life. The university had programs, especially for first-year students and these programs helped me integrate myself into college. The university helped me experience independence as something worth savoring and not feared.

I am a part of the work-study program of the university and thus that helped a great lot gather experience as well as knowledge.

Clubs and Organizations:

With more than 1000 student clubs and organizations, my university provided the opportunity for every student to become involved.

I was a member of the Africa Business Club-Thunderbird. Our activities were professional, educational & social & open to the entire Thunderbird and Arizona State University community.

My university also gave me the freedom to start a new student organization after registering for it.

Offline 2021. Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics

Campus:

Since Arizona never judges its students based on class, caste, or religion, it offers a diverse environment for studying which is preparing me a lot for working abroad and out of my comfort domain.

The campus has a great mix of the new and the old in the matters of architecture and I can never possibly get bored at ASU because of the wide array of activities I can choose from.

Experience:

The leadership here has been phenomenal. ASU is preparing me to enter a bigger world.

I like the interdisciplinary culture and academic environment here. I am graduating with a mathematics degree and a film production minor. This could be extremely rare in other schools but here it is normal.

Housing:

Living at ASU promotes creative connections and innovation both inside and outside of the classroom while providing a supportive, close-knit environment designed to set me up for success.

While living on campus, I take advantage of the opportunities that are right outside my door. I immerse myself in Sun Devil spirit, pride, and tradition. I can enjoy the convenience of all-inclusive living while being steps away from academic buildings, student services, and campus dining locations.

Academics:

The BS in applied mathematics is an interdisciplinary program that provides me with a broad and rigorous foundation in applied mathematics. It includes a foundation in computing and statistics as well as both theoretical and applied mathematics.

The program is leading to my gaining a deeper understanding of how mathematics, computing, and statistics converge in real-world applications to be prepared for a career in finance, statistical analysis, or data analysis.

Online. Master’s degree in Biomimicry

The professors at Arizona however tend to give a lot of assignments which may not be very necessary and the topics that they cover may tend to be a bit repetitive. On top of that, I had come across both extremely knowledgeable and helpful professors here and condescending professors who were not at all concerned about my education.

The student advisors I came across here were extremely helpful. They guided me toward the best internship and also helped me procure scholarships. The scholarships helped me graduate devoid of any future burden of student loans from big conglomerates.

Upon completing the degree, I will have a final portfolio, an artist statement, along with a community of peers and mentors, and a highly developed ability to give and receive critical feedback.
