When it comes to deciding whether technology has changed our language for the better or worse, there is an overwhelming amount of information leading us to the affirmative side of this unnecessary argument, that technology has undoubtedly changed our language for the best.

we have all experienced the exhilaration of winding down the car windows and blaring out the latest hits at a stoplight, but music isn’t just good for getting our heart pumping, in fact, a 2016 study by the University of Southern California’s Brain and Creativity Institute discovered that musical experiences during the childhood stage can accelerate brain development, predominantly in the areas of language acquisition and reading skills, furthermore, according to NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) Foundation, learning to play an instrument can improve mathematical learning and even increase SAT scores. But I haven’t even neared the end…according to the Bright Horizons Educational Team, “music ignites all areas of child development and skills for school readiness, including intellectual, social-emotional, motor, language, and overall literacy. It helps the body and mind work together. Exposing children to music during early development helps them learn the sounds and meanings of words. Dancing to music helps children build motor skills while allowing them to practice self-expression. For children and adults, music helps strengthen memory skills.”

In India, English is one of the two official languages however, nearly a third of users in India are learning English, in addition to what has just been said, Duolingo is the most popular language-learning tool, furthermore, Duolingo is the most popular online language program. Its unique features and clear structure make it a mesmerising platform for learning or strengthening skills in several languages’ as stated by Stacy Fisher and Jill Duffy.

Lastly, medicinal technology improves the efficiency of communication for people with disabilities through empowering individuals to care for themselves and their families, seek employment, assists them in their education and accessing information through computers and reading, it helps them to enjoy music, sports, travel, and the arts as well as participate fully in community life.
