This is the statement in which I strongly believe and have always inspired me to research and understand the possibilities for anything which I would have deemed beyond my ken.
I started understanding objects and phenomenon occurring around me, I have always been interested in the engineering field because of my father, who always encouraged and guided me to choose this field. Mechanical engineering is thought to be one of the most diverse engineering fields out there contributing to increase the pace of development and it is the vast stream. My interest and passion towards machines, automobiles, and mechanisms led me to choose to pursue mechanical engineering for my graduation.
The Indian education system is mostly theoretical and students are assessed on their memorizing skills and not on practical skills. This program can train me to provide technical support which focuses on the domain of modifications and development of various mechanical related mechanisms and equipment. Besides this, the skills matter the most for excellence and success in the any job market. So, the course which I have selected would assist me in order to achieve a good position in my field. I would receive practical knowledge of fundamentals of mechanical engineering such as manufacturing process, automobile, production technology, power engineering.
Offering my educational background, I have been a good student. I have passed SSC examination in March 2012 with a score of 88% marks and HSC exams in March 2014 with 73% marks. With growing interest in the field of engineering, I decided to pursue BSc in Mechanical Engineering at Babaria Institute of Technology, which is affiliated with Gujarat Technological University, in 2018 with 8.12 CGPA. In the final academic year, I gained immense exposure to the industry by undergoing through project work. The major project I have worked on being ‘Gardening tool with single cutter’. Considering this project, I have analyzed the most productive systems from the survey of research papers and come to an end to the improvement in the efficiency of different mechanisms. After my final year, I wanted to pursue an international qualification from a well-known Canadian educational institute. I have given IELTS exam and scored overall 6.5 band. I chose the Mechanical Engineering Technology program at SAIT after completing the entry requirements.
SAIT is one of the leading institutes, and it holds the good ranked amongst the best colleges in the province of Alberta as well as Canada which indicate its high standards of education. It provides cutting-edge laboratory practices, classrooms and has participated with industry partners where students can acquire appropriate practical experience and theoretical knowledge. I believe that there cannot be a better platform than this institute to obtain advanced knowledge of the chosen field. I believe studying in SAIT with high tech facility; excellent faculty and highly suitable environment are of utmost necessity to achieve new heights in life.
It has always been my dream to study abroad in order to get international exposure. After examining various factors, I chose Canada for higher studies because Canada is an exponentially developing country with strong and powerful economy; also, the education system of this country gives the opportunity to learn the technical expertise which helps to develop a close relationship with the actual mechanism of the machines and delicate intricacies related to their functioning with multi-cultural and healthy environment. Aside from the education, living expenses and tuition costs in Canada are considerably less expensive than the other commonwealth countries. Furthermore, Canadian degree, diploma and certificates are recognized worldwide which shall provide me a promising career ahead.
On completion of this course, I shall return to my home country. Having a diploma degree from such a world-class institute in the most innovative and advanced field of engineering will unquestionably open the doors for my employment in India in bigwigs such as Larsen & Toubro, Thermax, Tata Group, HCPL. It is my dream to get a job in one of these companies which can offer me a platform from where I can make changes.
