Coming home from a long day at work can be stressful, and the last thing you want to do is work even more. People want to relax and calm down, not use more effort to make or set anything up. Being able to sit on the couch and just click a button to wind down and be entertained. That is why television is the best invention because it supplies jobs and is a great source of entertainment.
Television creates thousands of jobs for people around the world. The television was created on September 7, 1927, by a man named Philo Taylor Farnsworth. It gets plugged into the wall and you use a remote to turn it on and off. The remote is also used to change the channel and volume. The creation is most important because it came with thousands of fulfilling careers for people. According to 'Types of Broadcasting Jobs and Careers in Radio and TV', it states: “The broadcasting industry offers some of the most entertaining and fulfilling careers in the world today. Imagine how entertaining it can be if you are the news anchor on a national television channel or you are the host of a popular radio show”. Being in the entertainment business can be one of the most fulfilling careers that someone can take. Another article titled 'So You Want to Work in Television' explains that 'working in television still holds huge appeal as a glamorous career, in spite of long hours, hard work and tough competition for jobs'. When people are in the entertainment business, they become more expressive and creative.
Television is also used for entertainment for everyone. There are hundreds of different channels for everyone. There are shows for kids and adults, including information channels like National Geographic and the History Channel. Just being able to come home and relax to a good show is something people can count on with a television. According to the article '6 Reasons Why TV Is the Best Source of Entertainment', it states that “after a long day, it can be relaxing to sit in your favorite chair, turn on the TV, and find a show that can take your mind off your day and help you recharge”. People can wind down after a long day of work and just relax by sitting down and watching a show.
But watching television all of the time is awful for your physical health. According to 'Everyday Health', it claims that ”couch potato habits (replacing an active lifestyle with a mostly sedentary one) are directly linked to a variety of poor outcomes, including obesity, heart disease, diabetes, and depression, according to the National Institutes of Health”. If people are concerned about becoming unhealthy from sitting too long, then they can begin to do some exercises during the show or just during commercials, making television the best invention ever.
Television is a great privilege to have and be able to use. It is very relaxing and can make your day better. With it, people can get a job or even a career or just be entertained for an hour of their day. Those reasons are why television is the best invention ever to be made.
