Twelve tree company is based in Canada and they are into importing teas from China. In recent years the sales of the company increased due to alternative health treatments the customers get out of their products. The company wants to improve its product services even further, so they found independent suppliers in China from Guizhou, Yunnan, Tibet, and Sichuan. But the main concern for Twelve Tree is that they don’t speak Mandarin. So, Twelve trees after a negotiation process agreed with Defang Hezuo’she for a contract term so that they can hire an interpreter for their business.

China being high context society communicates in a way that is understood through contextual elements such as body language, tone of voice, and personal status. For them nonverbal communication is important and they rely on them rather than formal conversation. In today’s business world companies want to go global and explore global markets. The tone of voice indicates what the person's mood is. We can understand someone and their mindset in the way they speak, whether they are happy, sad, or angry.
Facial expression plays a vital role when it comes to nonverbal communication. They deliver a lot through a small frown and a smile. We have a person see the face and its expression in the first place rather than words while communicating.
Another way of nonverbal communication is through touching. Through touch, a person can communicate sympathy, affection, power, and status. When it comes to men they try to communicate their status and power and when it comes to women they try to communicate their care and affection.
Personal spacing in communication indicates the interpersonal relationship between people. It also comes from personal character, familiarity, culture, etc.
Eye contact plays an important role when communicating with someone. Looking at someone, blinking, and staring is an important parts of nonverbal communication. Having eye contact while communicating indicates how loyal the person is. (Cherry, 2018)
As the company's profit increased compared to the previous fiscal year their main aim should be maintaining a healthy relationship with their vendors and they have to focus on recruiting top talent for the interpreter post. Because to any business communication plays a vital role and when it comes to Twelve Tree, has they been doing business in a place where they are not aware of the local language, a professional interpreter should be hired in order to have effective communication. They should also concentrate on the local market as well, as their base is in Canada.
